OXYGEN SENSORS & EXTENSIONS

OXYGEN SENSORS & EXTENSIONS

Oxygen sensors are an important part of the operation of many modern electronically controlled engines, feeding air/fuel ratio information back to the ECU, allowing it to control the fuel injection accurately.

When fitting a new exhaust system, the position of the oxygen sensor may often be moved from the factory position. This may require the use of an oxygen sensor extension loom, a small cable with a male and female end, to allow the connection back into the factory wiring loom.

Additionally, fitting high flow performance catalytic converters to a vehicle can trigger Check Engine Lights (CEL's). MPI have a range of Oxygen Sensor spacers that can help alleviate this issue, particularly on vehicles such as the 100 Series Landcruiser.
