WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS
MPI Global Pty Ltd T/A MPI Automotive and its successors and assignees (“MPI”) provides the following limited warranty against defects:
- WHAT THIS WARRANTY RELATES TO
- This warranty relates to any product failure. (“Defect”).
- This warranty excludes fair wear and tear such as cosmetic deterioration, failure due to alteration or abuse of the product.
- This warranty does not cover the failure of catalytic converters where a vehicle has been fitted with aftermarket forced induction.
- MPI does not warrant that the product meets all or any roadworthy standards or EPA standards.
- MPI offer a 2 year warranty for Aluminised Steel Manta exhaust kits and components, and a 10 year warranty for Stainless Steel Manta exhaust kits and components. Under certain circumstances, the headers/extractors in our kits are sourced from external suppliers. This means they are subject to the specific warranty conditions of those suppliers. Please ask us for more information.
- WHAT MPI WILL DO TO HONOUR THE WARRANTY
- MPI will repair any Defect to its full extent or replace at their discretion.
- Any works required to be completed in addition to fixing the Defect are the responsibility of the Customer. Additional works includes any disassembly and reassembling, repair or maintenance of parts not supplied by MPI.
- WHAT THE CUSTOMER MUST DO TO CLAIM THE WARRANTY
- To claim the benefit of the warranty, the Customer will need to:
- present the defective Goods/Services to MPI for inspection, including inspection for defective workmanship, or otherwise provide evidence of the claimed Defect such as digital photos; and
- provide evidence of proof of purchase upon request by MPI.
- The appropriate form for making a claim for warranty is available at mpiautomotive.com/warranty and no other forms will be recognised.
- To claim the benefit of the warranty, the Customer will need to:
- DURATION OF WARRANTY
- This warranty will cease from the date that is two years for Aluminised Mild Steel products and 10 years for Stainless Steel products from the date of the invoice in accordance with clause 6 of the Terms and Conditions of Trade. Externally supplied headers are covered by their respective companies warranty.
- If a Defect does not materialise in the Goods/Services prior to the date provided in clause 4.1, MPI will have no liability to the Customer under this Warranty Against Defects and the Customer releases MPI from all claims for loss or damage in any way connected with the Goods/Services from that date.
- RESPONSIBILITY FOR COSTS OF CLAIM
- MPI is only responsible for the costs directly associated with repairing the Defect on the product or replacing the product purchased from MPI.
- Any associated labour or freight costs will be at the cost of the Customer.
- Any works required to be completed under clause 2.2, which are in addition to those directly related to rectification of a Defect, will be at the cost of the Customer.
- RIGHTS AT LAW
- The benefits given to the Customer under this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the Customer at law in relation to the Goods/Services.
- MPI’s Goods/Services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The Customer is entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. The Customer is also entitled to have the Goods/Services repaired or replaced if the Goods/Services fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
