Who We Are – A Quick Intro
Manta Performance Exhausts is manufactured and wholly own by MPI Automotive, an Aussie-owned family business that’s been in the game for nearly 50 years. With locations in WA and Victoria, we’ve built Australia’s biggest range of performance exhausts across the V8 Street Performance, 4x4 and American Truck vehicle segments.

We always put our dealers first. While we market direct to customers/end users, we always direct sales through our resellers because we know that means a better end user experience and more business for you.
Manufacturing That Keeps Up With Demand
We’ve worked hard to triple our efficiency and output over the last few years. Our footprint now expands across 4 sites covering manufacturing, sales and warehouse/distribution. We have 2 locations in WA and 2 in Victoria. These days:
- 90%+ of orders ship out the same day.
- Most others are on the road in 2-3 days tops.
- No more 12-14 week backlogs like we saw in peak COVID!
MPI Automotive vs. Manta – What’s the Deal?
You might have seen both names around, so here’s the rundown:
- MPI Automotive = our wholesale & distribution arm (that’s who you deal with as a reseller).
- Manta Exhausts = our product brand (that’s what we market to end users).
- MPI gives us the flexibility to sell other brands alongside Manta, making sure we always have what customers need. Other products in our range include the Direction Plus range of catch cans and filters, extractors from Hitech, Hurricane, Genie and Wildcat, as well as a broad range of universal exhaust componentry.
Understanding Our Websites – Mantapro.com.au vs MPIAutomotive.com
We operate two different websites, each designed for a specific purpose:
Mantapro.com.au – This is our website for end users. It’s heavily optimized for SEO, meaning it attracts customers looking for performance exhausts. It provides detailed product information and has a dealer locator to direct buyers to their nearest reseller. This ensures that our marketing efforts drive business to our dealers.
MPIautomotive.com – This is our dealer portal. It’s where resellers can log in to access trade pricing, check stock availability, place orders, and manage their accounts. We’ll go into more detail on how to use the dealer portal later in this training series.
